Dr. Avikam Harel is a Pediatrician and a Dermatologist who has been the founder and the director of Pediatric Dermatology Unit in the Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv for 25 years. During these years of working in the hospital he has developed a unique and innovative treatment approache to common but "hard to treat" pediatric skin diseases like eczema (Atopic Dermatitis), multiple viral warts (HPV or Molluscum), a removal of pigmented nevous and skin tumors using only local anasthesia. Many doctors, pediatricians, general practitioners and dermatologists underwent training in his pediatric dermatology clinic, and the number of referrals to clinic sevices has been expanded significantly becoming a tertiary center for pediatric dermatology consultation, and a cornerstone of the Dana children's hospital at Sourasky medical center, Tel Aviv. In the last 6 years, upon his retirement from the public service, he has founded the Multidisciplinary Pediatric Dermatology Center (Hclinic) for infants, children and adolescents which is the largest private pediatric dermatology center in Israel. The clinic was established according to his vision to provide best medical care, with high availability supported by advanced surgical procedures and laser–based technologies. The clinic employ over 25 physicians ,nurses, and medical staff, operating in 4 separate clinics (medical consultations, operating room, laser based clinic and aesthetic clinic for children and teenagers). In addition Our center offers an efficient online medical consultation (OMC) service in the field of Pediatric Dermatology for long distance and overseas consultation.
